Winter at Savory Green

     At Savory Green, we are thinking about delicious hot dishes during the cold New England winter. Supporting a seasonal menu, our winter offerings will utilize root vegetables, squash, potatoes, mushrooms, preserved foods and other delicious yet less known tasties such as rutabaga, celeriac and Jerusalem Artichokes. All are cooked in our healthy Mediterranean style. Food items can be ordered by half pan (Serves 15), full pan (Serves 30), or as plated dishes (by Individual portion).


1.       Greek Style Homemade Chicken Soup

Organic Chicken, fresh carrots, celery, potatoes are basked in a seasoned egg-lemon-infused stock. 

2.       Italian Minestrone Soup

Grass-fed beef, carrots, potatoes, celery, preserved tomatoes and pasta in a delicious beef stock.

3.   Cheesy herbed Jerusalem artichoke and potato soup

Grilled and seasoned Eggplant Parmesan topped with slices of mozzarella

Chicken Cacciatore Jewels of organic chicken, sautéed with bell peppers, mushrooms basked in Tracy’s house made red sauce and topped with mozzarella cheese.

Tuna Salad, with crispy celery bites, apple chunks and capers with crispy lettuce

Chicken Salad with pine nuts, cranberries, and golden raisins tossed in a French tarragon Mayonnaise.

Grilled Seasoned Eggplant, tomato, Goat Cheese and arugula

For the Buffet Table

  2. Greek-Style Winter Squash and Feta Cheese Pie - Kolokithopita
  3. Tracy’s 4-Cheese with Fresh Herbed Lasagna  
  4. Tracy’s Southern Italian-Style Meatballs in marinara sauce
  5. Chicken Picatta Chicken, mushrooms, capers, artichoke hearts in a lemony-white wine sauce. Suggested: served over linguine.
  6. Braised lamb shanks with egg-lemon infused rutabaga and sweet parsnips
  7. Cornish game hens with caramelized root vegetables garnished with dried cranberry puree.
  8. French-Style Chicken Pie. Organic chicken, carrots, celery, potatoes, pearl onions and peas in a hearty sauce between homemade crust.
  9. Mini Quiche Selections seen in the appetizer section can be made into full quiches.
